Salary: USD30 - USD35 per hour

Docketing Specialist

The Docketing Specialist will maintain accurate legal calendars, tracking deadlines, and providing service to attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update docketing calendars and databases for litigation, and other legal matters.
  • Enter, review, and manage deadlines in legal calendaring/docket system (CompuLaw or similar).
  • Research and apply federal, state, and jurisdiction-specific court rules and judicial preferences to determine deadlines.
  • Generate, proofread, and send out docket reports.
  • Ensure data accuracy by reviewing case records, entering new matters, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain docket confirmations and supporting documentation.
  • Recommend process improvements and support docketing best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with legal staff while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of docketing experience in a law firm environment.
  • Knowledge of federal and state court rules, legal calendaring, and litigation procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required - CompuLaw, PACER, iManage or similar software highly desired
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Customer-service oriented, detail-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
