This 100% remote, direct-hire role offers $70K–$100K based on experience. You will review court filings, manage deadlines, mentor junior staff, and lead department initiatives across civil, appellate, and labor

Qualifications

• 5+ years of docketing experience in a professional setting.
• Deep knowledge of Florida court systems and procedures.
• Experience across civil, appellate, labor and employment, bankruptcy and workers' comp matters.
• Ability to interpret complex legal rules accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Review court filings to set and manage deadlines in a docketing system.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to confirm case details and questions.
• Apply state and federal rules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Train new team members and oversee junior docketing staff.

What you'll be doing

• Reviewing court filings and documents to set and manage critical deadlines in a rules-based docketing system
• Working with attorneys and legal staff to confirm case details and answer procedural questions
• Applying your knowledge of state and federal litigation, appellate procedure and court rules
• Researching legal rules and statutes to keep everything accurate and compliant
• Staying current on docketing best practices and rule changes
• Training new team members on systems and procedures
• Reviewing junior docketing staff's work for accuracy and consistency
• Leading department initiatives and special projects

What you bring

• 5+ years of docketing experience with CompuLaw, CourtAlert, eDockets or a similar system
• In-depth knowledge of Florida court systems and procedures
• Experience across multiple litigation areas, such as civil, appellate, labor and employment, bankruptcy and workers' compensation
• The ability to interpret complex legal rules accurately
• Strong communication skills, with confidence working at every level of the firm
• Professionalism, initiative and a service-first mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Flexibility for occasional support outside regular hours during deadline crunches
