Job summary

State of Missouri in Springfield is seeking a Docket Clerk to support the Division Of Workers’ Compensation. The role focuses on scheduling conferences, reviewing documents, and handling mail and confidential data to assist administrative law judges.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of related experience and a high school diploma, plus familiarity with legal terminology and essential software like Microsoft 365, Acrobat Pro DC, and Webex.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of related experience and a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of legal terminology and the legal process.
  • 2 years of experience working in a law office, government agency, court of adjudication office, or with workers' compensation.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365, Adobe Pro DC, Webex, or similar software/platforms.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and data.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and schedule telephone conferences, cases, dockets, and administrative hearings.
  • Review and distribute court documents to attorneys and parties, contact attorneys and parties, and prepare court documents.
  • Receive and distribute mail, answer emails, scan, and index court documents for electronic storage.
  • Enter confidential information in the Division’s database, including entries, withdrawals, and dispositions.
  • Draft, proof, and edit correspondence for administrative law judges.
  • Prepare docket materials for the administrative law judges.
  • Staff the front desk, answer calls, and greet customers.
  • Order supplies, maintain postage meter, and perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Do
