Job summary

Idlogistics in Joliet, IL is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support a cross-dock shift and drive operational excellence in line with client goals.

The role focuses on controlling and expediting inbound/outbound freight, coordinating trailer movements, assigning doors, ensuring safety and GMP compliance, and meeting daily deadlines. First shift, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, paying $22/hour, with the #IND123 designation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Forklift experience required, 2+ years.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs.
• 3 years of experience in a warehousing/distribution environment.
• Ability to sit/walk/stand for long periods.
• Follow PPE standards in the distribution center (steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, vest).

Responsibilities

• Control and expedite the flow of inbound and outbound freight.
• Project number of loads shipped to each club daily.
• Review appointment schedules to unload on time.
• Coordinate trailer movements using Yard Management System.
• Ensure labor coverage matches daily workload.
• Utilize systems for process design and reporting efficiency.
• Organize daily movement of products.
• Meet customer deadlines for receiving and shipping inventories.
• Assign appointments and inbound drops to appropriate doors.
• Assign empty trailers for loading to appropriate Club door.
• Assign inbound trailers to dock doors.
• Supervise loading to meet cubic feet and weight requirements.
• Follow GMP and report noncompliance when observed.
• Observe safety rules and assist in enforcement.
• Other duties as assigned.
