Job summary

White Pass & Yukon Route in Skagway, Alaska, is seeking a Tram Driver for a seasonal, full-time role from early May through late September. You will transport guests safely along scenic routes while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to move 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Must enjoy working with guests and in a team.

Job description

White Pass & Yukon Route, a successful, historic company engaged in rail, tourism and port operations, based in Skagway, Alaska, has an opening for a Tram Driver. This is a full-time, seasonal position. The position will be available from early May to late September.

Duties:

• Provide safe transportation to hundreds of guests per day
• Communicate with cruise ship guests, White Pass dock personal and management in a clear and concise manner
• Work efficiently and maintain a patient and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Customer service experience a must
• First Aid & CPR certification (company will offer course)
• Valid Driver’s License Required
• Applicants must submit a Motor Vehicle Record from the last three years prior to hiring to ensure clean driving record
• Applicants must be 21+ Years Old
• Must be able to work outdoors in the elements
• Must work well under pressure
• Must be able to move 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, pull, twist, walk, crouch and squat
