Alaska Marine Trucking is hiring for a Dock-to-Driver Training Program designed to pay for CDL training. Successful candidates will start as Freight Handlers with the expectation of becoming Class-A Drivers through the dock-to-driver training program. The program covers CDL training costs with AMT and our training partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Commercial Learner's Permit required.
• Able to obtain AK CDL with endorsements (Hazardous Materials, Tanker, Doubles/Triples).

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck and trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
• Check shipping papers for correct descriptions, weight, and safety details.
• Secure shipments using cargo straps, ropes, and other securing devices.
• Maintain records for vehicle inspections, permits, and cargo documents.
• Be flexible with hours and work in a safety-minded team environment.
