Job summary

Goodwill Greater New York and Northern New Jersey is seeking a Lead Dock Runner to support daily warehouse operations in Wappinger Falls, NY. You will assist with loading/unloading, coordinate with Ryder, and ensure safe, efficient dock processes aligned with Goodwill's mission.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, teamwork, and reliable, safety‑minded performance. Open schedule Mon–Sat 8 am–6 pm; HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in warehouse, logistics, or retail back-room is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong teamwork and reliable work ethic.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
• Execute routing schedule in daily basis for upstate region.
• Create and maintain relationships with Ryder team.
• Communicate effectively with operations manager and director logistics on a daily basis.
• Transport donated goods from the dock to designated processing or storage areas.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe dock areas and remove debris pallets.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklift or other warehouse equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and Goodwill policies.
• Report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, or safety concerns immediately.
• Prepare outgoing shipments and ensure accurate documentation.
• Ensure donations are received, handled, and sorted per Goodwill NY/NJ standards.
