Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a warehouse associate in Boynton Beach to load and secure outbound pallets, verify trailer loads, and assist with special orders. You will communicate with shipping, provide dock platforms, and support the efficient movement of goods through the distribution center.

The role requires handling heavy pallets, adhering to PPE standards, and maintaining accurate load documentation while working nights and weekends. Training and certifications are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Obtain and maintain pallet truck and forklift certification by start date.
• Ability to operate powered equipment with PPE.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 67 pounds.
• Ability to read, write and verify numbers.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure outbound pallets for safe transport.
• Ensure pallets/totes are on the correct trailer per load sheets for delivery to retail.
• Load special orders and reconcile with correct load.
• Communicate load close information to shipping office staff.
• Provide pallets or shipping platforms for dock selectors.
• Inform dock coordinator/manager of incoming/outgoing trailers to ensure sufficient supply.
• Move shipping containers and replenish across the shift.
• Monitor and record trailer temperatures per cold-chain SOPs.
• Operate baler and pallet sorter.
• Sort bulk mail and drop at the correct lanes for shipping.
• Clean debris from the work/loading area.

Required Qualifications

• Obtain and maintain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before their start date in the position)
• Ability to use powered industrial equipment that require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Ability to lift a minimum of 67 pounds
• Ability to stack product of varying weights
• Ability to bend, stoop, and twist
• Ability to sit, stand and do repetitive work for long periods of time
• Ability to read, write, identify, and verify numbers
• Ability to work under strict time requirements

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November.In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
