Job summary

Publix Super Markets Distribution is seeking a warehouse associate to safely load and secure pallets, verify trailer loads, and support dock operations. You will handle special orders, communicate with shipping staff, and supply pallets for dock selectors while maintaining cold-chain compliance where required.

Role requires night work, weekend/holiday availability, and certification in pallet truck and forklift operation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods.
• Obtain and maintain pallet truck and forklift certification by start date.
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment with PPE.
• Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and handle varying weights.
• Ability to read, write, identify, and verify numbers.

Responsibilities

• Accurately loading and securing pallets of outbound product for safe transportation.
• Ensure pallets and totes are accounted for on the correct trailer per load sheets.
• Load special orders and credits/outs and merge with the correct load.
• Communicate load close information to shipping office associates.
• Supply pallets or shipping platforms for dock selectors.
• Monitor and record trailer temperatures per cold chain SOPs.
• Operate pallet sorter and assist with dock operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work/loading area.

• Sorting bulk mail and dropping at correct lanes for shipping
• Cleaning debris from work/loading area

Required Qualifications

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
