Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a capable Supervisor to oversee daily terminal and dock operations in Omaha, ensuring safe and efficient handling of freight.

You will manage dock workers, enforce DOT and OSHA standards, and drive continuous improvement through training and performance monitoring. You will lead shift teams, coordinate with field management, and use freight monitoring systems to optimize productivity and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, freight, dock, or logistics operations.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and safe freight-handling practices.
• Forklift certification or hazmat training preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in verifying shipments.
• Successful completion of new-hire training, including assessments, and forklift test.
• Minimum 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily terminal and dock operations for safe and efficient freight handling.
• Supervise dockworkers and shift teams to optimize labor and equipment utilization.
• Ensure trailers are loaded/unloaded correctly for safe transport.
• Review reports and recommend improvements in efficiency, service quality, and cost control.
• Provide training on safety procedures and company policies.
• Lead daily shift meetings and coordinate with management to meet performance goals.
