Job summary

Peninsula-Truck-Lines,-Inc.-1 is seeking a dependable Dock Worker to help load and unload freight at our Spokane terminal. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, sort freight by destination, and ensure accurate documentation of shipments.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability in a fast paced environment, with shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
Experience in a warehouse or dock worker role is a plus.
Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently load and unload freight from trucks and other transportation vehicles using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other relevant equipment.
Organize and sort incoming and outgoing freight based on destination, shipping method, and other criteria to streamline dispatch and delivery.
Record and maintain documentation related to shipments, ensuring quantity, weight, and destination are correctly noted.
Adhere to safety protocols during loading, unloading, and handling of freight and report hazards or incidents.
Collaborate with truck drivers, warehouse staff, and team members to coordinate movement of freight.
Inspect incoming and outgoing freight for damage or discrepancies and report issues accordingly.
Maintain inventory records through cycle counts and periodic audits.
