Job summary

Comstock seeks a Full-Time Dock Master for Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm at Reston, VA. The role ensures loading dock scheduling supports smooth deliveries under ParkX Management.

Responsibilities include coordinating arrivals/departures, move-ins/outs, protecting doors and floors, reporting incidents, completing daily inspections, and coordinating security operations on the property. Must hold security officer certification in VA/DC/MD and CPR/AED/First Aid.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year security experience or Dock Master.
• Must be certified security officer in Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland.
• Minimum 1 year customer-service related experience.
• Valid driver''s license without major violations.
• Flexibility to work after hours and weekends, as needed.
• Outgoing personality with ability to relate to diverse group and build relationships.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
• Positive, can-do attitude and be able to fuel growth and innovation.
• Customer-focused and results-oriented.
• Willingness to continuously learn and develop.
• Excellent oral and written communication, active listening, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the arrival and departure of moving trucks.
• Coordinate move in and move outs, including scheduling and monitoring on-site movers.
• Protect doors and floors during deliveries and moves.
• Coordinate pickups and removal of bulk material items from loading dock and trash room areas.
• Report incidents or accidents to property manager as needed.
• Complete daily inspections and provide inspection report to manager.
• Manage routine cleaning schedules by vendor.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by property manager and/or engineering & operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Promote corporate goals and values per Company org chart and Employee Handbook.
• Address and resolve customer concerns in a first-class manner per Comstock standards.
• Ensure all security officers are licensed to the required state and assist with licensing if needed.
• Plan and coordinate security operations specific to the property.
• Maintain equipment through regular maintenance and preventative care.
