Job summary

Comstock Companies is seeking a Security Dock Master to support ParkX Management in Reston, VA. You will coordinate truck movements, deliveries, and on-site moves, while protecting doors and floors and reporting incidents to the property manager.

The role requires security experience, a valid driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid certification, with flexibility to work after hours and weekends. You will work with on-site teams and vendors to ensure smooth operations and uphold corporate standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of security or Dock Master experience.
• Must be certified security officer in Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland.
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer-service related field.
• Valid driver’s license without major violations.
• Flexibility to work after hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the arrival and departure of moving trucks.
• Coordinate move in and move outs, scheduling on-site movers.
• Protect doors and floors during deliveries and moves.
• Coordinate pickups and removal of bulk material items from loading dock and trash room areas.
• Report incidents to property manager as needed.
• Complete daily inspections and provide inspection reports to manager.
• Manage routine cleaning schedules by vendor.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by property manager and engineering & operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure team members understand corporate goals, values, and responsibilities.
• Promptly address and resolve customer concerns per company guidelines.
• Ensure all security officers are licensed to the required state.
• Plans and coordinate security operations specific to the property.
• Maintain equipment through regular maintenance and preventative care.
