Job summary

Estes Express in Bangor, ME seeks a dock associate to handle loading/unloading duties using forklift, pallet jack, or manual handling. You will strap, brace, and pad freight to prevent damage and document freight conditions on arrival at the service center.

Responsibilities include pre/post shift equipment inspections and maintaining safe, efficient operations across shifts, including overtime and weekend work. Prior forklift experience and a dependable work record are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Properly load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
