Job summary

Estes Express Lines in Lewiston, ME is seeking a dock worker to load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand. You will strap and pad freight to prevent damage and accurately record freight condition on arrival.

The role requires the ability to work all shifts, pass pre/post shift inspections, and meet physical demands (lifting ~70 lbs). Reliable attendance is essential and you may be asked to perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Must be able to push or pull a loaded pallet jack and/or hand truck with a minimum load of 70 lbs.
• Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs. or more as required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment.
• Maintain regular attendance as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned as needed.
