Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a dock worker to load and unload freight and ensure cargo safety at our service center in North Dakota. You will operate forklift and pallet jacks, strap and pad freight, and document conditions during arrivals.

Must be able to lift ~70 lbs, work various shifts (including overtime and weekends), and pass pre-employment drug and background checks. Safety rules and procedures must be read and followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Must be 17+ years old.
• Experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Forklift operation experience or certification preferred.
• Able to push/pull a loaded pallet jack or hand truck with at least 70 lbs.
• Physical duties include standing, walking, lifting, twisting, turning.
• Able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Able to lift ~70 lbs or more as required.
• Must comply with company policies and safety rules.
• Able to interact well with others and work independently or in a team.
• Capable of working under tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record freight condition on arrival at service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
