Job summary

TPG Marinas is seeking a Dock Hand for the 2025 season at Isle of Hope Marinas in Savannah, GA. This full-time seasonal role supports day-to-day marina operations, including vessel prep, customer service, and coordination with multiple departments to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience for guests.

You’ll assist with mooring covers, fuel dock service, and boat upkeep while maintaining safety and teamwork. Weekend and holiday availability is required, and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation for daily work
• Evening, weekend and holiday availability required
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Ability to work on a team and independently
• Ability to move in tight spaces (crouching/kneeling)
• General boating knowledge is a plus
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in the elements

Responsibilities

• Assist with removing mooring covers
• Operate the fuel dock and assist customers
• Prepare boats for scheduled outings
• Maintain cleanliness of yachts: wash, polish chrome, clean teak floors, clean engine compartments, replace oil sorbs as needed
• Outside dockhand position with weekends and some holidays
• Strong customer service and communication skills required
• Boating experience is a plus but not required
• Operate equipment (tractors/mowers/hoist)
• Any other duties as assigned by TPG Marinas and the direct Manager

Position Dock Hand

Description

TPG Marinas is hiring a Dock Hand as part of the support team members for the 2025 Season. This full-time seasonal position will work directly with the TPG Marinas team to support the day to day needs of the marina including vessel cleaning and coordination of onboard provisions. This position will work with multiple departments within TPG Marinas to facilitate the marina running smoothly and ensure a high quality customer experience.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Must have reliable transportation for use during work day
• Evening, weekend and holiday availability required.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work on a team and independently.
• Ability to move into and out of small spaces that may require crouching, kneeling or crawling
• General boating knowledge is a plus
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Able to stand for extended periods and occasionally kneel, stoop, bend and twist in tight areas. Comfortability with ladders and confined spaces is required. Ability to work in the elements regularly.
