Job summary

You will secure cargo, read labels, and monitor shipments with the yard management system, contributing to on-time deliveries.

The role requires safety-minded teamwork and physical stamina to stand, lift, and move up to 100 lb containers, in a busy service center environment with varying shifts.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Must have working knowledge of safe lifting and transport procedures.
• Familiarity with freight documentation forms and dock yard systems.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklift, pallet jack, or manually according to DOT rules.
• Apply appropriate loading techniques and ensure secure freight.
• Operate within service center on non-forgiving surfaces to move freight safely.
• Read shipping labels and manage freight locations with Yard Management System.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and airbags.
• Support a fast-paced, deadline-driven warehouse environment.
