Job summary

Overhead Door Solutions, Inc. based in Lake Zurich, IL, provides commercial garage door and dock services across the Chicagoland area.

The role focuses on servicing, welding and fabrication, and supporting general service and repairs on a variety of projects for our commercial customers. You will install, service, and repair a range of access systems, identify opportunities to offer customers additional products and services, and maintain job-related paperwork.

• Good mechanical aptitude
• Able to lift 60 lbs

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair a variety of commercial access systems, including garage doors, operators, gate operators, rolling steel doors, high-speed doors, dock levelers, commercial fencing, and related components
• Identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services
• Track and maintain job-related paperwork and submit in a timely manner
• Install quality products and provide professional services
• Operate in a safety-conscious manner while performing job duties
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service (1-2 weekends a month)
• Collect payment for completed jobs

Overhead Door Solutions (ODS) is a commercial door and dock service company based in Lake Zurich, IL, serving businesses across the Chicagoland area. We install, repair, and maintain overhead doors, loading dock equipment, and entry systems for warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturers, and commercial facilities that can't afford downtime. When a door goes down, our customers call us, and our team shows up ready to fix it right the first time.

What you’ll do

As a member of our team, you will service commercial garage doors, weld and fabricate, and contribute to the general service and repairs for a variety of projects.

The day-to-day

• Install, service, and repair a variety of commercial access systems, including garage doors, operators, gate operators, rolling steel doors, high-speed doors, dock levelers, commercial fencing, and related components.
• You will successfully identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services.
• Employees will be responsible for tracking and maintaining job related paperwork and submitting in a timely manner.
• Install quality products and provide professional services.
• Always operate in safety conscious manner while performing job duties.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service (1-2 weekends a month)
• Collect payment for completed jobs

What you’ll need

• 3-5+ years servicing and installing commercial garage doors
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
• Good Mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to lift 60lbs

What will help you on the job

• 1-3 years in a construction related industry
• 1-3 years of welding and/or electrical experience preferred, not required

At Overhead Door Solutions, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
