Job summary

Beauty Quest Group is seeking a Dock Auditor to ensure orders are accurate, complete, and compliant before shipment from the distribution center in Illinois. The role collaborates with warehouse staff to verify item counts, lot numbers, and shipping documentation, helping prevent discrepancies and improve fulfillment quality.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 1–3 years in warehouse/shipping, with strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, distribution, shipping, or quality control preferred.
  • Prior experience auditing orders or verifying outbound shipments in a warehouse environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
  • Ability to read and interpret order documentation, packing lists, and bills of lading (BOL).
  • Basic computer skills; experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks typical of a distribution center environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to operate or be trained to operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts.

Responsibilities

  • Audit completed customer orders prior to shipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with order requirements.
  • Break down or reconfigure orders as necessary to verify item counts and confirm quantities against sales orders, packing lists, and shipping documentation.
  • Verify correct items by reviewing item numbers, product descriptions, packaging, and labeling.
  • Confirm lot numbers, expiration dates (when applicable), and product codes meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all required labels and documentation are properly attached to shipments and that established shipping procedures are followed.
  • Work collaboratively with DC team members to resolve order discrepancies prior to shipment.
  • Identify recurring errors and assist with root-cause analysis to improve warehouse accuracy and shipping processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant dock and audit area.
  • Escalate quality or process issues to warehouse leadership as appropriate.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Your Role:

The Dock Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of customer orders prior to shipment from the distribution center. This role plays a critical part in verifying that products are picked correctly, quantities are accurate, and shipments are properly staged and loaded onto the correct outbound trucks. The Dock Auditor works closely with warehouse personnel to identify discrepancies, support corrective actions, and maintain high standards of fulfillment accuracy, quality, and compliance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in warehouse operations, distribution, shipping, or quality control preferred.
  • Prior experience auditing orders or verifying outbound shipments in a warehouse environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
  • Ability to read and interpret order documentation, packing lists, and bills of lading (BOL).

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this role considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

The hourly wage for this position is expected to be $19.50/hr.
