Job Requirements

Description: The starting rate for this position is $17.33, with incremental increases based on skills and qualifications. The main purpose of this role is to ship and receive, inspect shipments and trailers, and weigh all incoming eggs. You will supply the processing department with eggs, receive and inspect other freight, packages, and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, weigh incoming eggs, and document quality and lot tracking issues.
• Maintain inventory and control shell egg rotation.
• Inspect and sign for incoming products, packages, and supplies, rejecting when necessary.
• Coordinate and store materials/supplies, maintaining segregation of clean and dirty materials.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, including corrective actions when necessary.
• Transport eggs from cooler to staging area for processing.
• Assist during breaks and cleanup, including cleaning the cooler environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; training provided by Daybreak Foods, Inc.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English is required.
• Willingness to learn computer skills.
• Powered pallet jack and/or forklift experience required.
• Knowledge of food safety and egg quality is desirable.
• Monitor and comply with food safety and GMP policies.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, ability to follow written instructions, policies, and procedures.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude, ability to train others.

Physical Demands

Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 60 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to climb up to 150 ft by ladder.

Work Environment

Exposure to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles; outdoor environment with seasonal temperature variations; moderate noise level, with some areas requiring ear protection. Personal protective equipment will be provided.
