Position Overview

IDOC is looking to hire an Office Assistant to perform inquiries into the Certified Law Enforcement Agency Data System (LEADS). In addition, this position will perform clerical functions and respond to internal and external routine phone and mail inquiries. If you are detail oriented and can multi-task, this position is for you. We strongly encourage all qualified individuals to apply.

Essential Functions
  • Performs inquiries into the Certified Law Enforcement Agency Data System (LEADS).
  • Performs clerical functions for Clinical Serves at the Reception and Classification (R&C) Center.
  • Responds to routine phone and mail inquiries, both internally and externally.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and one (1) year of related office experience.
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 35 words per minute.
Conditions of Employment
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
