DOB Licensed Senior Superintendent – Ground-Up Construction

Location: New York City.

Salary: $230,000 - $260,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Our client is one of the most respected developers in New York City, with a proven track record of delivering some of the most complex large-scale residential and mixed-use projects in the country. They are seeking a DOB Licensed General Superintendent to take ownership of site operations and lead field execution on this flagship development.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position for a highly experienced construction professional who has successfully delivered major ground-up affordable housing or large-scale multifamily projects in New York City. As the lead field executive, you will oversee all on-site construction operations from early site logistics and superstructure through envelope, interiors, turnover, and closeout. You will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely on schedule and to the highest quality standards while coordinating multiple trades, consultants, and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead all field operations across a major ground-up residential development
• Manage Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and subcontractors
• Drive project schedule, sequencing, and milestone delivery
• Oversee daily site logistics, manpower planning, and trade coordination
• Ensure all work complies with NYC DOB regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements
• Coordinate inspections, sign-offs, and turnover processes
• Partner closely with Project Executives, Project Managers, ownership, and consultants
• Utilize Procore for documentation, reporting, RFIs, issue tracking, and field communication
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid schedule delays
• Maintain a strong site culture focused on accountability, safety, and execution
