Job summary

Ansa Biotechnologies in Emeryville, CA is seeking a Temporary Contractor for DNA synthesis, Sunday through Wednesday on a swing shift (3:30pm–2:00am). You’ll help start, purify and ship DNA oligonucleotide products and contribute to a rapidly scaling manufacturing pipeline.

You’ll work in a cross-functional team, operate SOPs and LIMS, and collaborate with chemists, enzymologists and automation experts. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of molecular cloning and bacterial cell culture.
• Ability to follow SOPs for complex DNA synthesis processes.
• Experience with high-throughput liquid handling tools and automation.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Routinely start, purify and ship custom DNA oligonucleotide products.
• Scale manufacturing pipelines with a multidisciplinary team.
• Perform reagent and buffer prep, cloning and cell culture purification.
• Operate SOPs and LIMS for traceability and equipment use.
• Collaborate to design and scale next generation manufacturing systems.
