Job summary

Ansa Biotechnologies in Emeryville, CA seeks a hands-on reagent production specialist to own formulating, QC testing, and release of master mixes and reagents. You will drive process improvements, documentation, and raw material acceptance in a rapidly scaling manufacturing setup.

You will collaborate across development, supply chain, and production, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with SOPs while maintaining traceability and quality in a dynamic life-sciences environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on reagent, biologics, or life-science manufacturing experience.
• Experience formulating critical reagents and buffers per batch records and QC release procedures.
• Experience in a quality management system (CAPA, non-conformance, traceability).
• Ability to plan and scale reagent demands with supply chain coordination.

Responsibilities

• Formulate, aliquot, and release master mixes, buffers, and reagents per SOPs with precision.
• Perform in-process and release QC on raw materials and finished goods; investigate deviations to resolution.
• Maintain traceable records using LIMS and other systems; update SOPs and work instructions as needed.
• Transfer reagent formulations from R&D to scalable manufacturing with cross-functional teams.
• Own inventory and cold-chain storage to ensure uninterrupted supply; mentor associates.
• Lead documentation and batch records; support a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
