Job summary

DNA Diagnostics Center is seeking a Lab Assistant to ensure accurate intake, processing, and management of DNA testing cases. You will handle sample receipt, data entry, and case tracking to ensure timely reporting and compliance with chain-of-custody requirements.

Qualifications

• One to two years of data entry experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet production goals in a high-volume environment.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and typing skills required.
• Strong multi-tasking while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues.
• Knowledge of record-keeping and chain-of-custody protocols is a plus.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision; able to work in a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive client information.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify incoming sample packages with chain of custody.
• Input and audit patient data into the LIS.
• Manage case assignments and track progress to closure.
• Identify complete or partial cases following procedures.
• Prepare and send final reports and affidavits timely.
• Input partial billing information.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve cases.
• Attend trainings and stay updated on policies.
