Job summary

Gene By Gene is seeking a Laboratory Assistant for the DNA Extraction Core Team to assist with DNA extraction, sample management, and overall lab organization. This role supports daily operations and requires accuracy and adherence to SOPs.

You will work under supervision, gain hands-on experience with automated systems, and contribute to maintaining high-quality records and compliance with HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in biology or chemistry preferred.
• 1+ year of laboratory experience preferred with precise data entry and sample handling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Manage sample tracking and preparation within the Core team.
• Assist with DNA extraction under supervision and document results.
• Maintain organization and documentation of department activities.
