Job summary

A leading global provider of agricultural science is seeking a candidate to assist with DNA extraction and activities related to the Next-generation sequencing (NGS) platform in Greensboro, North Carolina. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology or related field, along with experience in molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, and RT-PCR. Candidates should possess skills in optimization and automation of lab processes, with a focus on effective team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with NGS library preparation and validation is a plus.

Job Description

• Assist on DNA extraction and activities related to Next-generation sequencing (NGS) platform.
• Activities include but are not limited to tissue collecting and processing, extraction plus QC; and NGS library preparation, QC and validation.
• Work on optimizing and automating all the processes in the lab.
• Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, Genetics or a related field
• Experience in Molecular Biology techniques such as isolation & quantification of DNA and RNA, PCR, and RT-PCR
• Basic understanding of principles and techniques for DNA extraction. Understanding library preparation and validation for Next-Generation sequencing using Illumina platform would be a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment under critical deadlines
• Ability to work effectively independently and as a part of a team
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
