Job summary

Capistrano Auto is seeking an experienced DMV Title Clerk to join our dealership accounting team. This role focuses on processing California DMV paperwork, supporting the accounting department, and collaborating with Sales and Finance to ensure accurate registrations and deal processing.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of dealership DMV experience.
• Strong knowledge of DMV title, registration, and licensing procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process new and used vehicle registrations, title transfers, and DMV applications in accordance with California DMV regulations.
• Submit electronic and paper DMV transactions accurately and on time.
• Review contracts and deal jackets for completeness and DMV compliance.
• Follow up on outstanding titles, registration issues, and DMV discrepancies.
• Reconcile DMV fees collected with amounts submitted.
• Assist with dealership accounting functions, including reconciliation of schedules and management of new and used vehicle inventory.
• Work closely with the Sales, Finance, and Accounting departments to ensure deals are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Various other automotive accounting including posting of sales contracts, posting of EFT payments, and reconciliation of various schedules.
