Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of dealership DMV/title clerk experience.
• California DMV/title clerk experience required.
• Knowledge of DMV title, registration, and licensing procedures.
• Knowledge of out-of-state titles is a plus.
• CDK experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Adobe experience preferred.
• Experience with scanning and filing.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to learn quickly.
• Previous experience working in a busy office environment preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Properly title new, used, and wholesale vehicle sales for the dealership.
• Ensure retail transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review all purchase and trade-in documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare tax, title, registration, and licensing documents.
• Follow up on outstanding titles, registration issues, and DMV discrepancies to ensure timely resolution.
• Reconcile DMV fees collected with amounts submitted and investigate discrepancies.
• Verify costs and transactions associated with each vehicle sale.
• Assist with creating and processing lease and loan paperwork.
• Prepare required paperwork for submission to the tag agency and submit legal transfer documents to the California DMV.
• Ensure dealership tag, title, registration, and licensing work complies with applicable state requirements.
• Work closely with Sales and Finance to ensure deals are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Provide additional administrative support as needed.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
