Job summary

The State of West Virginia's Division of Motor Vehicles in Beckley seeks a DMV Agent 1 to perform full public contact work, processing and issuing drivers’ licenses, vehicle registrations, titles, and related documents. Knowledge of motor vehicle laws, policies, and procedures is essential, with supervision at the Beckley Regional Office.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of relevant paid experience, and the ability to obtain fingerprinting and a criminal background

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of paid experience in bookkeeping, cashiering, or related public contact work.
• Substitution: college credit may substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

• Process, record, and issue drivers’ licenses, vehicle registrations, titles, and related documents.
• Interpret and apply motor vehicle laws, policies, and procedures.
• Work under supervision in DMV regional office.
