Job summary

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation in Green Bay invites applicants for the Program Assistant-Advanced Confidential role in the Northeast Region. The position works with the Regional Manager, Operations Manager, supervisors, and budget coordinators to oversee regional operations and support procurement, data analysis and reporting.

The role offers a hybrid schedule, with in-office work at the Green Bay Service Center at least 3 days per week after training.

Qualifications

  • Experience using Microsoft Office or comparable including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience using a financial system such as STAR Finance.
  • Experience using systems to maintain accurate records, enter, track, extract and/or analyze data, or develop reports.
  • Experience providing customer service such as answering questions, resolving issues, explaining policies, etc.
  • Experience conducting work area assessments and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Research, compilation, analysis and documentation of special program data and reports.

  • Assistance with process purchasing and contractual services.

Introduction

Bring your administrative professional experience to the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) as a Program Assistant-Advanced Confidential for the Bureau of Field Services, Northeast Region. This position works directly with the Regional Manager, Operations Manager, supervisors, and budget coordinators to oversee the general operations of the Region.

This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from the Green Bay Service Center in Green Bay, WI at least 3 days per week after an initial training period. During the training period, this position will be required to work full time in the office. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are generally expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview.

Position Summary

Salary Information

This position is in schedule-range (81-05) with an hourly salary of $26.00-$28.41, plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Job Details

Qualifications

  • Experience conducting work area assessments and recommendations. Activities may include: Ergonomic assessment; employee work flow; work area equipment improvements and needs, etc.

In addition to having all the above, well-qualified applicants will have one or more of the following:

  • Experience conducting procurement activities.
  • Experience performing administrative assistance in a professional environment. Activities may include: filing documents, booking travel arrangements, ordering office supplies, records management, etc.
  • Experience with sensitive and/or confidential communications and situations.
