Job summary

Chesapeake Finishing Inc. in the DMV area is seeking a Project Manager to oversee multifamily renovation projects, managing contracts, change orders, procurement, and schedules. You will operate in both field and office settings to keep projects on track.

Responsibilities include estimating support, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality, communicating with clients and leadership, and preparing closeout documentation. A 2+ year background in construction management is required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience.
• 2+ years of related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to understand project scope.
• Walk properties to gather field data, measurements, and photos.
• Assist in preparing accurate, competitive estimates.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee day-to-day project activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and jobsite logistics.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification.
• Lead and support safety efforts, including toolbox talks and compliance documentation.
• Monitor job progress, perform quality control checks, and keep projects on track.
• Communicate regularly with clients, team members, and leadership on progress and updates.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide updates on schedules, changes, and job progress.
• Assist with preconstruction meetings, site walks, and project closeouts.
• Support change order pricing, tracking, and documentation.
• Assist with invoicing, progress billing, and coordination with accounting.
• Help track project costs, materials, and subcontractor activity.
• Prepare and compile closeout documentation.
