Nitsch Engineering is seeking a Managing Director to lead the growth and strategic direction of our DMV presence. This role drives market growth, oversees project delivery, and builds a strong local team aligned with the firm’s values.

The ideal candidate will excel in strategic business development, staff leadership, and maintaining executive‑level client relationships across federal, state, and local agencies within the DMV region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field.
• PE license with DC/MD/VA registration.
• Proven track record leading business development initiatives and securing high‑value contracts.
• Experience building and scaling regional operations, including hiring and staff leadership.
• Strong leadership, communication, and budget management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead DMV Civil Engineering department, ensuring project, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Drive strategic growth and development of DMV presence, including staffing and market presence.
• Identify and secure new opportunities with public and private sector clients in the DMV region.
• Maintain high‑level client relationships with federal agencies, local governments, and partners.
• Collaborate with executives to develop regional growth strategies aligned with firm goals.
• Represent the firm at events and client meetings to raise visibility and market position.
• Oversee project delivery and technical excellence for DMV work.
