Job summary

CEG Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Commissioning Engineer & DMV Practice Lead to establish and grow a commissioning practice in the Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland region. You will lead high-impact projects, win new business, and mentor staff while building relationships with owners and A/E partners.

Expect leadership of the regional delivery, development of proposals, and clear communication of findings to owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in commissioning and leading projects.
• Proven ability to originate and win commissioning projects.
• Established relationships with DMV building owners, general contractors, and A/E partners.
• Active ANSI-accredited commissioning certification (CxA/CCP or equivalent).
• Experience analyzing field data and communicating results clearly.
• Strong MS Excel/Office and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact commissioning projects and grow the DMV practice.
• Win and grow client relationships, proposals, and staff development.
• Direct and mentor commissioning staff; set technical and quality standards.
• Oversee commissioning delivery from test planning to deliverables.
• Review drawings, specs, and data submittals to ensure owner intent.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve issues and maintain schedule.
