Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Operations, seeks a DMV Contact Center Clerk to answer up to 500 inquiries daily and provide top-tier public service.

Position requires a trainee option with a start pay and a path to full employment after training; training includes classroom and on-the-job components, with evaluation during the initial six months.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after completion of high school.
• Experience with data entry, call taking, or customer service is preferred.
• May require to pass fingerprints and motor vehicle record checks; may require flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Answer up to 500 telephone inquiries daily with high accuracy and courtesy.
• Provide first-rate customer service to the general public and DMV partners.
• Manage voice mail, email, and other inquiries; triage and respond promptly.
• Process DMV transactions and credit card payments; enter data into DMV systems.
• Complete an intensive training program within the first weeks of employment.
