SUGARED + BRONZED is seeking an Area Manager to oversee a network of store managers across the DC/DMV region and beyond. You will drive performance, sales growth, customer service, and expense management while upholding brand standards in every location.

This role emphasizes people development, talent acquisition, and operational excellence. You will lead weekly store visits, coach managers, and ensure consistent, high‑quality experiences for clients in vibrant, welcoming spaces.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of multi-unit management experience in a retail or salon environment.
• Passion for the beauty industry; esthetician or cosmetology experience preferred, but not required.
• Interest in contributing to company growth and success.
• Positive, can-do attitude that fosters a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Open to flexible, full-time availability with the ability to travel between designated markets.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and implement operational initiatives across store locations.
• Drive KPIs and ensure high level of service at each location.
• Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of top talent.
• Manage store-level utilization by monitoring demand, labor trends, and staffing each location accordingly.
• Oversee scheduling and booking software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Work alongside Managers during weekly store visits to provide hands-on leadership and support.
• Lead manager and associate development through training, feedback, coaching, and growth planning.
• Ensure continuous professional development and sales performance by providing ongoing training for Store Directors.
• Foster a warm, fun, and friendly environment for both store teams and clients.

Position Overview

The Area Manager position oversees a team of store managers and is responsible for driving overall performance and achieving results across the designated market. This role focuses on three main pillars: performance, including sales growth, customer service, and expense management; people, with a focus on talent acquisition, development, and retention; and process, ensuring strict adherence to operating procedures and standards. The Area Manager role plays a key role in aligning store operations with company objectives, fostering a culture of excellence, and delivering consistent, high-impact results.

The Pay Range For This Role Is

70,000 - 80,000 USD per year(DC - DMV - Georgetown)

70,000 - 80,000 USD per year(DC - DMV - Logan Circle)

70,000 - 80,000 USD per year(MD - DMV - Bethesda)
