Job summary

DMS Logistics is seeking a senior leader to oversee the US warehouse operations, including the Miami facility and 3PL sites. You will drive standardization of processes, KPIs, and reporting while developing leaders and managing third-party relationships for cost-effective performance.

The role requires fluent English and multilingual capabilities, risk and compliance oversight, and travel across sites to ensure smooth operation and strategic alignment with corporate goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, international trade, economics or related field.
• Fluent English with intermediate/advanced Spanish and Portuguese.
• 2+ years in a leadership role within freight forwarding, logistics or warehouse operations.
• Experience managing 3PLs, SLAs and vendor performance evaluation.
• Operational experience with FCL, LCL and AIR shipments, imports.
• Proficient in MS Office and Power BI; familiarity with KPI dashboards.
• Knowledge of bonded warehouse compliance and customs frameworks.
• Willingness to travel between US warehouse sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational alignment across the US warehouse operation (Miami + 3PL sites).
• Directly lead and develop the Team Leader Operations – Miami and Warehouse Analysts.
• Standardize processes, SOPs and KPI frameworks across all US sites.
• Consolidate KPI, cost and productivity reporting for warehouses.
• Manage relationships with 3PLs: SLAs, performance evaluation, escalation.
• Support opening of new sites and onboarding of new 3PL partners.
• Ensure compliance across all sites (bonded, CBP, C-TPAT/TSA/CCSF, customs).
• Participate in 3PL vs internalization decisions for new markets.
• Set team and individual goals; conduct OKRs and feedback sessions.
• Drive continuous improvement across the US warehouse network.

DMS Logistics is a Brazilian multinational freight forwarding company, with 40 years of experience in foreign trade and specialized in freight forwarders. The Operations sector is responsible for ensuring the logistical design of the shipment, closely monitoring the operations of collection, import and export of cargo, in addition to document verification in each country.

Main responsibilities

• - Ensure operational and tactical alignment across the entire US warehouse operation (Miami owned facility + 3PL sites in other states)
• - Directly lead and develop the Team Leader Operations – Miami and the Warehouse Analysts supporting 3PL sites in other states
• - Standardize processes, SOPs and KPI frameworks across all US warehouse sites
• - Consolidate KPI, cost and productivity reporting for the warehouses
• - Manage relationships with third-party warehouses (3PL): SLAs, performance evaluation, escalation and issue resolution
• - Support the opening of new sites and the onboarding of new 3PL partners in new states
• - Ensure consistent compliance (bonded warehouse/CBP, C-TPAT/TSA/CCSF, customs) across all sites
• - Participate in the 3PL vs. internalization decision process for new markets
• - Set team and individual goals for direct reports; conduct feedback sessions, 1:1s and OKRs
• - Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the US warehouse network
• - Escalate risks, resource needs and strategic decisions to the Head of the area

Requirements and skills

Knowledge

• - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade, Economics or a related field
• - Fluent English; intermediate/advanced Spanish and Portuguese
• - Experience in freight forwarding / logistics / warehouse operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
• - Prior experience managing third-party warehouses (3PL), including SLAs and vendor performance evaluation
• - Operational experience with FCL, LCL and AIR shipments, imports
• - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI; familiarity with KPI dashboards
• - Familiarity with bonded warehouse compliance, C-TPAT/TSA/CCSF, and customs compliance frameworks
• - Availability to travel between US warehouse sites
