Job summary

Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics is seeking a DME Technician to support patients and clinicians. You will fabricate and remove casts and splints, assist with braces, and manage DME inventory across Elite facilities.

You’ll educate patients on device care and ensure HIPAA compliance in all documentation. Ideal candidates have strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years related medical experience preferred.
  • Experience in bracing, fitting, casting and splinting.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare and payer documentation.
  • Comfortable using MS Word, Excel and Outlook; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide education to patients on DME usage, care and outcomes.
  • Maintain and track DME inventory and ordering for all facilities.
  • Deliver DME to Pre-Op, OR or recovery as needed.
  • Assist DME Coordinator with site profitability and audits.

At Elite Sports Medicine + Orthopedics, our Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Technicians play an important role on our clinic team, helping patients and athletes receive the support and care they need throughout their recovery.As a DME Technician, you’ll work closely with our physicians and clinical team while gaining hands-on experience with orthopedic equipment and patient care. Your responsibilities will include fabricating and removing casts and splints, applying orthopedic devices, and removing external orthopedic hardware.We’re looking for an outgoing, detail-oriented team player who enjoys working with medical equipment, connecting with patients, and learning new skills and techniques.
