Job summary

ACHC in Raleigh-Durham, NC, seeks an Associate Program Director to lead DME and Sleep programs and oversee surveyors and staff. The role focuses on standards interpretation, program growth, and stakeholder engagement in a hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years' experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a track record in quality assurance and accreditation. Travel up to 25% is required, with a base salary plus annual bonus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant work experience, including 5+ years of people-management.
• 2+ years of quality assurance planning and implementation; participation in accreditation activities a strong plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal, oral/written communication, and presentation skills with a polished and professional presence.
• Established ability to build and sustain strong working relationships across a wide spectrum of internal and external partners.
• Seasoned change-champion who leads by example with decisiveness, integrity, and accountability.
• Position requires travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide standards interpretation in assigned program areas for customers, Surveyors, and accreditation department staff.
• Review survey documentation for accreditation staff as needed.
• Establish strategic relationships with industry and government leaders to strengthen national presence and identify growth opportunities.
• Establish relationships with current corporate customers and maintain continuous dialogue to ensure retention.
• Work with Business Development to identify new corporate account prospects and plan engagement to convert them to ACHC customers.
• Develop and execute on strategy for assigned programs with a minimum two-year plan.
• Oversee all aspects of clinical compliance, accreditation, quality customer service and department operations, reporting to leadership.
• Develop program budgets and monitor expenditures; manage financial performance (P&Ls, expenses, forecasting).
• Collaborate with leaders to propose new accreditation programs/services and business ventures.
• Conduct regular department meetings to foster participation, address concerns, and boost morale.
