Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder, seeks a DME Coordinator to manage the DME program across West Chester and Kennett Square. The role emphasizes timely, high-quality DME services, policy development, and staff leadership in a patient-centered orthopedic setting.

The position requires collaboration with physicians, PAs, and technicians, with emphasis on regulatory compliance and budget management to support growth and quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing durable medical equipment programs.
• Ability to educate patients and families on casting topics.
• Strong collaboration with physicians and physician assistants.

Responsibilities

• Manages the DME program to ensure timely, efficient, and quality DME service to patients and families.
• Ensures that all DME is maintained in a clean, safe, and properly functioning manner at all times.
• Ensures coverage for DME services at all locations, providing backup directly as needed.
• Maintains all required departmental records and provides reports as requested (e.g., current equipment inventory, usage trends).
• Develops, recommends, and implements required departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, regulatory standards, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Completes performance evaluations for all assigned staff promptly.
• Develops departmental budget and manages expenses within established limits.
