Job summary

University Orthopedics in North Easton, MA seeks a Full-Time DME Fitter/Orthopedic Technician Float to assist physicians with casting, bracing and traction applications. You will fit, refit and adjust durable medical equipment and coordinate with patients and care teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year orthopedic medical experience, familiarity with insurance concepts, and strong attention to detail. MA PTA/OTA/ATC license is preferred but not required; travel to all sites may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year orthopedic medical experience or DME experience is required.
• MA license in PTA/OTA/ATC preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and attention to detail essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and flow during office hours.
• Properly fit and apply pre-operative braces, crutches, casts and splints.
• Educate patients on insurance plans and financial responsibilities.
• Document details in medical records for DME billing submission.
• Maintain stocked, clean cast and exam rooms; assist with supplies.
