SUMMARY:

The Cashier is the first contact the business may have with the customer. First impressions are vital for the business to prosper. The cashier shall greet and assist the customer in their dining experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification

Required:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Basic math skills

Preferred:

• Extensive knowledge of various POS Systems
• Agilysys experience is helpful

Skills

Required:

• Basic operations of a cash register
• Follow the DMC Food Department handbook/cashier manual

Abilities

Required:

• Ability to read and follow the cashier manual
• Ability to follow directions for special events
• Ability to handle pressure
