Job summary

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine testing across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology, coagulation, molecular and microbiology. The role includes specimen processing, instrument maintenance, and collaboration with the supervisor on special projects.

The position requires an AS or BS in Medical Laboratory Technology with ASCP MT/MLT certification or eligibility.

Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Hours: 0600-1430 varied days & weekend coverage

Essential Functions:

• Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift
• Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities

Required Experience:

• AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Technology. ASCP MT/MLT certification or equivalent or be eligible for national MT/MLT certification.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
• Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
• Frequent walking and/or standing.
• May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity.
