Job summary

Blue Yonder Defense Solutions (BYDS) is seeking an EDI Integration Architect for a US government project in Dallas, TX. You will lead architecture for DLMS/EDI platforms, design scalable integration, and drive cloud-native modernization with APIs and event streams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software engineering focused on integration, with experience in ANSI X12/EDIFACT and enterprise platforms like MuleSoft, IBM Sterling, or Cleo; candidates must be US citizens with clearance

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering and design focused on integration and EDI/DLMS architectures.
• DLMS experience is a plus.
• Hands-on with EDI/DLMS standards such as ANSI X12 or EDIFACT.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Experience building EDI/DLMS processing pipelines and integrations.
• Knowledge of message transformation, lifecycle management, error handling and reconciliation.
• Experience with an enterprise integration platform (MuleSoft, IBM Sterling, or Cleo).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Architecture & System Design – Define and lead architecture for ELMS/EDI-based integration platforms.
• DLMS / EDI Domain Expertise – Architect systems aligned with DLMS/EDI; map formats to canonical data models.
• EDI Standards & Message Processing – design and implement ANSI X12/EDIFACT solutions with validations and real-time processing.
• Integration & Transformation Architecture – build pipelines with mappings, canonical models, and event-driven patterns.
• Cloud & Modernization Strategy – modernize legacy DLMS/EDI to cloud-native platforms and APIs.
• Data & Canonical Modeling – govern enterprise-wide canonical data models for DLMS/EDI transactions.
• Collaboration & Leadership – mentor teams, participate in design reviews and governance.
