Job summary

Sound By Design in Milwaukee is seeking a part-time DJ Assistant to support our DJs during weddings and events. You will assist with equipment setup, manage music flow, and provide on-site support to ensure guest experiences are seamless.

This hands-on role offers growth in live audio, event production, and DJ performance, with opportunities to develop skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, energetic personality and comfort in event environments.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, able to think on your feet.
• Physically able to lift and move equipment (50+ lbs).
• Willing to work nights and weekends.
• Team player with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting DJ equipment.
• Set up and break down audio, DJ booths, and lighting equipment.
• Help maintain energy and flow of the event alongside the DJ.
• Perform basic audio troubleshooting with training provided.
• Ensure equipment is handled, stored, and maintained properly.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in warehouse and event spaces.
