Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY business and meet sales/service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive knowledge, and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, and suppliers.

Part-time or full-time with weekend availability is common. You will assist customers in person and by phone, perform basic DIY services like battery installation and wiper repairs, and ensure inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a retail environment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to read safety rules, manuals and parts catalogs
• Basic math skills and ability to handle store systems

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone inquiries
• Hit personal sales goals and help the store reach overall targets
• Provide DIY services (battery installs, testing, wiper installs)
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Handle inventory tasks (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock)
• Keep store clean and organized; stocking and general housekeeping
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
