Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY business, drive sales, and deliver excellent customer service. The role includes basic automotive knowledge, operating store systems, and the ability to source parts from multiple channels.

The position can be part-time or full-time, with safety and inventory responsibilities across the store. Key duties include assisting DIY customers, performing basic services, and maintaining product and store standards.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Basic math and ability to use store systems.
• Speak and write English; Spanish a plus; communicate effectively and build relationships with customers, peers and management.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store reach overall sales targets.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, and back stock.
