Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY business and help achieve sales and service objectives. The role requires basic automotive knowledge, familiarity with store systems, and the ability to source from internal and external suppliers.

The position can be part time or full time, with safety and delivery responsibilities as part of daily duties. Customer-focused roles include assisting DIY customers, performing battery tests, installing wipers, and delivering parts

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and write in English; Spanish a plus.
• Ability to use the delivery board system to coordinate orders and deliveries.
• Experience operating inventory systems and store equipment.
• Knowledge of parts catalogs, automotive systems, and basic diagnostics.
• Ability to operate POS and Parts lookup systems effectively.
• Familiarity with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store hit its sales targets.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
