Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. in Joliet, IL is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY customer base and drive sales. You will perform battery testing/installation, wiper installs, and source parts from stores, hubs, and suppliers with strong inventory knowledge.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory standards, delivering parts as needed, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. Weekend availability and basic math skills are expected.

Qualifications

Speak and write English; Spanish a plus.
Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
Use basic math accurately for everyday transactions and inventory tasks.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.
2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone inquiries.
Achieve personal sales goals and help store reach goals.
Provide DIY services including battery installation and wiper installs.
Maintain store product and operational standards.
Handle inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, and related tasks.
Keep the store clean and organized; assist with general stocking and safety.
